I consider myself as one of those lucky people who comes from a long line of very talented bakers. I have memories of visiting my grandma every Sunday where we were always greeted with some sort of delicious cake, cookie or other treat. We are never short on the sweets!

Old Fashioned Gumdrop Bars – This Old Fashioned Gumdrop Bar recipe is dear to my heart because my great-grandmother developed it and passed it down to her family. She typically only baked from scratch and never wrote down her recipes so I feel very fortunate to have this one. Plus, these are DELICIOUS!

Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies – I’m kind of a sugar cookie snob, but only because I’ve been spoiled with one of the yummiest sugar cookie recipes out there. This sugar cookie recipe comes from my grandma and has been double and then doubled again to feed the masses. These are perfect for decorating with your favorite butter-cream frosting.
