2. Taqueria Tacobar

Tacqueria lies around five minutes walk from two of the most popular spots in Amsterdam, namely: Leidseplein and Vondelpark. The restaurant serves five types of tacos that are stuffed with different ingredients such as pork, fish or chicken and then topped with homemade salsa, crispy cabbage and spicy chipotle cream.

This cosy canteen makes some of the best burritos in town and stuff their creations with fresh, hearty ingredients like grilled aubergine, black beans and streaky bacon. While most customers order takeout from Burtito Maker, there is a small seating area inside the canteen that’s big enough for small groups.
5. Kriterion

Even though it doesn’t really qualify as a Mexican restaurant it is worth mentioning Kriterion as this student-run arthouse cinema hosts Taco Tuesday every week. At these very affordable evenings guests can choose between several tasty €2 tacos then head over to one of Kriterion’s screening rooms to catch a movie.
