I've seen a giant black balloon filled with blue or pink confetti. Then the couple pops it. I think that's pretty cute!

For my first child. My husband and I went to a store and picked out a girl outfit and a boy outfit. Then we had the cashier put it in a box. Then we opened it in front of our family :) we just picked outfits that were the same price so it wasn't obvious when we paid for it.

We had 4 vases (because this baby makes us a family of 4) filled with water and dry ice. We had a big vase in the middle with water in it and dropped a pink bath bomb into it out of a box. It was fun.

We find out in two weeks and are doing a piñata filled with colored candies. I have several nieces and nephews so I thought that would be fun for them too :)

My husband is a professional golfer so we're going to cut open a golf ball and fill it with either blue or pink colored powdered (like the kinds used for color runs) and at our reveal party he's going to tee it up and when he hits it it will explode and all everyone will see will be either pink or blue powder! :) hopefully this will all work out as planned. We're going to make a few and test it out before.

@kayti_s,

I know it's not the same as a golf ball, but I've seen it done with a Christmas ornament. You can buy the clear plastic ones from the craft store that open into two halves. Fill it with your powdered colored chalk, and put back together. Then they painted it white to look like a baseball and added red for the laces. You could paint it any color really. They put it on a baseball tee and hit it with a baseball bat. It exploded and gave a similar affect.
